Tate Ellington Illustrations
Tate grew up around Savannah, married her childhood sweetheart Joe and has a hilarious toddler, Wallie. Up until Wallie was born, she worked in Savannah-Chatham County schools as an assistant special needs teacher and got inspired by teaching language and reading with illustrations. Tate believes art to be not so much an escape from reality, but rather a vivid, colorful reflection on the beauty of life around us. She’s been drawing and painting since she can remember, until 2017 when she decided to launch her illustration company from home. Tate has always loved the beautiful city of Savannah and wanted to make fun perspective paintings of all of the historic sites and local businesses. “I aspire to bring locals, visitors, and admirers of Savannah & Tybee together with happy renderings of our Southern gem,” she says.
